Effect of plant density on oil and protein contents in sunflower seeds and the calorie effect of photosynthesis

The yield and quality of oil and protein in seeds of sunflower grown at a 10 000-200 000 plants/ha were determined. The correlations established between them are expressed by corresponding regression models. The oil and protein yields were highest with 52 940 and 105 440 plants/ha, resp. The linoleic and oleic acids contents were highest with 53 740 and 58 700 plants/ha, resp.
