Effect of sudden submergence on some rice genotypes in the field

Effect of sudden submergence on some rice genotypes in the field

Proceedings of the 1978 international deepwater rice workshop II: 227-232

A total of 13 forms were placed in two groups (above and below 50% survival) following 9 days of submergence 7 days after transplanting. Negative correlation coefficient values suggested that initial height was not associated with percentage survival and indicated the suitability of some newly developed HTA lines for low-lying areas that are submerged early in the growing season.
