Effectiveness of using a decalcified medium for prevention of reproduction of bacteriophages of mesophilic lactic streptococci

Effectiveness of using a decalcified medium for prevention of reproduction of bacteriophages of mesophilic lactic streptococci

Trudy, Vsesoyuznyi Nauchno issledovatel' skii Institut Maslodel' noi i Syrodel' noi Promyshlennosti (30): 50-52, 91

Growth of 3 strains of Streptococcus lactis, 1 of S. cremoris and 1 of S. lactis subsp. diacetylactis in a decalcified medium (Miles Laboratories Inc., USA) was studied in absence or presence of 1 or less than or equal to 24 collection bacteriophages capable of lysing the strains.
