Bulletin of Hyogo Prefectural Experiment Station of Animal Husbandry (16): 49-51



Data were for 2nd-10th lactations in progress at Mar. 1978 and previous lactations of 263 cows recorded by 2 herd improvement societies in Hyogo prefecture, Japan. Calving interval averaged 14.9 months. On average 305-day milk yield increased by 3.9% from 1st to 2nd lactation by 3.1% from 2nd to 3rd and by 1.5% from 3rd to 4th.
