2 of winter wheat, 1 drought resistant (cv. Kanking) and one drought sensitive (cv. Ponca) were grown for 73 days and differences in element uptake from soil treated with inorganic fertilizers (F) or sewage sludge (SS) were compared. Both gave the same DM yield in each treatment, SS > F > untreated water control. Ponca accumulated more P, K, Ca, Mg, Fe and Cd than did Kanking in both treatments.
