Emergence of peas under field conditions

Pesquisa Agropecuaria Brasileira 15(1): 117-120

A field trial was carried out on a dark-red latosol in the cerrado near Brasilia in Nov. 1977 to determine the differences between pea Petrolini and Elegante in emergence and epicotyl length, as affected by seed treatment with captan at 0.8 g/kg seed, sowing depths of 5 and 10 cm, and sowing density of 20 and 40 seeds/linear m of row. Percentage emergence was based on the number of seedlings emerged/100 viable seeds sown.
