Erosivity of the rains at Hull (Bavaria) (R-factor of the Universal Soil Loss Equation of Wischmeier)

Erosivity of the rains at Hull (Bavaria) (R-factor of the Universal Soil Loss Equation of Wischmeier)

Zeitschrift fur Kulturtechnik und Flurbereinigung 21(1): 1-7

The long term erosivity (R-factor of the USLE of Wischmeier) of a hop growing area in Bavaria with a humid temperate climate and 825 mm annual precipitation amounted to R = 71 (metric units). 280 rainfall events with > 10 mm h-1 during 17 years were included. 70% of the total R occurred in June, July and August. More than half of the average R consisted of R values < 8.
