Estimation of the gene frequency of the Simmental horn character in Chinese Sanhe cattle population and its application

Estimation of the gene frequency of the Simmental horn character in Chinese Sanhe cattle population and its application

Scientia Agricultura Sinica (3): 85-90

Gene and genotype frequencies of the Simmental horn character were estimated in Simmental X Sanhe F1 cattle. From these and previous data on genotype frequencies of the character, it is suggested that it is controlled by a recessive gene with multiple alleles.
