In inoculation tests on 53 experimental hosts with Monilia fructigena and on 36 with M. laxa, S. fructigena infected for the first time spp. of Elaeagnaceae, Araliaceae, Solanaceae, Oleaceae, Caprifoliaceae and Verbenaceae and S. laxa representatives of Phytolaccaceae, Berberidaceae, Elaeagnaceae, Vitaceae, Araliaceae, Caprifoliaceae and Verbenaceae.
