The biology of Trichogramma perkinsi Gir. and T. australicum Gir. was studied under field conditions in India between 1973 and 1975. A new technique was used involving specially designed plastic cages to facilitate artificial regulation of light intensity. Temperatures ranged between 23.6 and 41.7 deg C in summer and 2.9 and 23.7 deg C in winter; the relative humidities during these periods were 29.5-68.5 and 55.5-64.5%, respectively.
