This paper proposes a simple scheme for describing systems of learning in order to improve communication in discussion of types of formal and non-formal education and to aid educators in generating more alternatives to the traditional school. Thirteen variables are proposed regarding conditions of admission to education, and conditions and consequences of the learning process.
