Glue-jointed sample poles were constructed from 2 creosote-impregnated poles 10-12 m long with their butt ends cut diagonally and glued together. These poles were subjected to destructive tests, either singly or as A-type poles 20 m long. Results indicated that this type of structure could be adopted for general use.
