Haemagglutinating activity of bovine herpesvirus 1 (IBR IPV virus)

Haemagglutinating activity of bovine herpesvirus 1 (IBR IPV virus)

Trudy Vsesoyuznogo Instituta Eksperimental' noi Veterinarii 53: 42-49

The physical characteristics of this virus are reviewed. The TK-A vaccine strain of IBR virus was propagated in various cell cultures, including bovine embryonic kidney, calf kidney, bull testis, sheep kidney, bovine embryonic lung and sheep embryonic kidney. A two to four-fold concentration of the virus was obtained by cryoconcentration, 100-fold by polyethylene glycol precipitation, and 500-1000-fold by ultracentrifugation.
