Horse-flies of the area of the Charvak Reservoir

In the area around the Charvak Reservoir, Uzbekistan, USSR, 18 species of Tabanidae were found, belonging to the genera Silvius (1 species), Chrysops (2), Hybomitra (3), Tabanus (10) and Haematopota (1). Adults were active from 10 May to the last 10 days of August with a large peak between the last 10 days of June and the end of July.
