Hortiplus glass is not yet economically justifiable

Hortiplus glass is not yet economically justifiable

Vakblad voor de Bloemisterij 35(44): 134-135

Hortiplus glass for greenhouses consists of single glass coated on the outside with a thin layer of a metal oxide. Depending on the crop the average heat conservation by using such glass is 20-25%. The daily conservation ranges from 2% (in rainy, windy weather) to 40% (with a clear sky). The light loss with Hortiplus compared with ordinary single glass is about 11-13%.
