Two groups of rats were raised for several weeks on diets either sufficient or deficient in protein and iron, were infected with Nippostrongylus brasiliensis and 6 days later orally given 14C-labelled fenbendazole (FBZ) at 5 mg/kg. The rats were killed at intervals over 22h and blood and worms collected for 14C determination and worm count.
