Of 20 plant spp. tested in the glasshouse 10 were shown to be hosts of a maize isolate of R. solani f.sp. sasakii (Thanatephorus cucumeris), i.e. groundnut, Cynodon dactylon, soybean, tomato, rice, pea, sugarcane, sorghum, potato and Vigna radiata.
