Host response of germfree and conventional mice to single or mixed infection with Trichinella spiralis and Trichinella pseudospiralis. II. Serological investigations

Host response of germfree and conventional mice to single or mixed infection with Trichinella spiralis and Trichinella pseudospiralis. II. Serological investigations

Bulletin de L' Academie Polonaise des Sciences, Sciences Biologiques 29(1/2): 61-71

Two series of C3H germfree (GF) and conventional (CV) mice were infected with single or mixed (1:1) doses of T. spiralis and T. pseudospiralis larvae, at doses of 500 larvae/mouse. The indirect haemagglutination test and the determination of levels of IgG1, IgA and IgM immunoglobulin by the plate method were carried out. For the haemagglutination test 2 kinds of antigens (from T. spiralis and T. pseudospiralis larvae) were used.
