Host-parasite relations in some didymozoid trematodes

Host-parasite relations in some didymozoid trematodes

Journal of Parasitology, 663: 527-531

Neometadidymozoon helicis was recovered from the dermis of the buccal cavity and the gill arches of Platycephalus fuscus (from Moreton Bay, Queensland, Australia) and Nematobothrium spinneri from the musculature (enclosed in a fibrous tissue wall) of Acanthocybium solandri (from Point Lookout). In both cases the cyst walls were not of parasitic origin.
