Host-Pathogen Interactions : XVIII. ISOLATION AND BIOLOGICAL ACTIVITY OF GLYCINOL, A PTEROCARPAN PHYTOALEXIN SYNTHESIZED BY SOYBEANS

Plant Physiology 68(2): 358-363

Glycinol, a previously unrecognized phytoalexin from soybean cotyledons infected with bacteria or exposed to UV light, was previously detected in CuCl2-treated soybeans and is structurally related to the soybean phytoalexins glycerollins I-IV.
