Housewives, out or at home. Recreation of housewives in the residential environment

Housewives, out or at home. Recreation of housewives in the residential environment

Huisvrouwen, uit of thuis De rekreatie van huisvrouwen in de woonomgeving deel 2: 173

The study investigates the meaning housewives with children give to the residential environment as a recreation area; the circumstances influencing that meaning; and the improvements which would make the residential environment more satisfying as a recreational area. Data was collected via a questionnaire, free attitude interviews, and group discussions in two city neighbourhoods in Breda. One was a pre-war working-class area (Tuinzigt) and the other a post-war middle-class area (Princenhage).
