Measuring the quality of agricultural extension programmes is a professional responsibility for the service so that relevant information for future planning can be digested. The attitudes of clients about the information they receive, the effectiveness of agents who deliver the information, the appropriateness of the method used and the relevance of the programmes to the needs of the clientele can all be assessed.
