How can hyacinths best be stored after heat treatment?

How can hyacinths best be stored after heat treatment?

Bloembollencultuur 92(9): 224-225

Heat treatment (2 weeks at 38 deg C + 3 days at 44 deg ) was given to hyacinth planting-stock bulbs during storage to control Xanthomonas hyacinthi (X. campestris pv. hyacinthi). After this, storage temperatures of 30 deg , 25 deg and 20 deg until planting (late September to mid-November) were compared. Storage at 25 deg generally gave higher yields of flowers than storage at 30 deg ; this effect increased with later planting.
