How can tourism improve farmers' income and image

How can tourism improve farmers' income and image

IFAP News 29(10): 1-4

The article is taken from a paper presented to the CEA General Assembly, Innsbruck, September 1980. It starts by emphasizing two needs - the desire of farmers for supplementary income, the desire of tourists for holidays in the countryside. These two aims have led governments and other organizations concerned with farming and with tourism in many European countries to give active encouragement to tourism enterprises on farms.
