How to increase the effectiveness of Trichogramma

How to increase the effectiveness of Trichogramma

Zashchita Rastenii (8): 33

The author reports from the Kharkov region of the USSR that Trichogramma reared for release is best taken from the biolaboratories 1-2 days before the adult parasites are due to emerge. In this stage, the parasite can easily be transported and handled without risk of damage. On arrival at the destination, the material should be put into glass jars of 0.25-0.5 litre capacity containing fragments of paper and closely sealed.
