How we control the second generation of the codling moth and the yellow apple mite on vines

How we control the second generation of the codling moth and the yellow apple mite on vines

Rastitelna Zashchita 28(6): 42-43

Development of the first generation of Cydia pomonella (L.) on apple in Bulgaria is usually completed in the first half of July. Adults emerge in late July and early August and may oviposit very heavily in the ripening fruits. Damage by the second generation is then severe, and control may be necessary, especially if weather conditions for them are favourable.
