How we determine the dates of release of Trichogramma

When sugar-beet is grown in the Rovensk region of the USSR, care is taken to spare the natural enemies of pests feeding on the plants by the use of baits for control. The principal pests caught in beet fields included the winter moth (Agrotis segetum (Denis & Schiff.)), the exclamation mark moth (A. exclamationis (L.)) and other noctuids, and notes on their attraction to baits are given.
