An experimental investigation was conducted: to determine the effects of combined environmental noise and vertical vibration upon human subjective discomfort response; to develop a model for the prediction of passenger discomfort response to the combined environment; and to develop a set of noise-vibration curves for use as criteria in ride quality design.
