This book is intended primarily for public health technicians wishing to specialise in the control of the vector of onchocerciasis in West Africa. It is essentially entomological in approach, the epidemiology and control of human onchocerciasis being considered principally with regard to the vector, Simulium damnosum. The reader is recommended to look elsewhere for clinical and therapeutic aspects of the disease.
