Human syngamosis (Mammomonogamus nasicola) as a cause of chronic cough in Martinique. 37 recent observations

Of the 78 known cases of human syngamosis due to Mammomonogamus nasicola (all from Central America or the Caribbean), 51 were reported from Martinique. Analysis of 37 of these cases seen from 1974 to 1980 revealed that 29 were women and all complained of a chronic cough of one to 10 months' duration.
