Humus increases yields in decline areas

Humus increases yields in decline areas

Citrus and Vegetable Magazine 43(4): 47-48

Eighteen-year-old Valencia orange trees on rough lemon rootstocks, in various stages of decline, were soil top-dressed with Ekol (proprietary humus made from cottonseed gin waste) at 3.6 lb/tree. Four years later most trees had recovered and fruit set was normal, whereas 34% of untreated trees were in various stages of decline.
