Husks of sunflower (Helianthus annus) seeds in the nutrition of goats

From an average liveweight of 43.4 kg until an average weight of 45.5 kg, 5 castrated male Granada goats were given a diet with sunflower seed husks 75, molasses 20, commercial biuret 1.2, NaCl 0.8, CaCO3 1.0, Ca3(PO4)2 1.5 and MgSO4 0.5%. Average digestibility of DM was 46.8, organic matter 47.5, crude protein 68.3, ether extract 83.1 and crude fibre 28.0%. The diet had total digestible nutrients 48.9% of DM and metabolizable energy 1.76 Mcal/kg.
