Hybrid jowar in kharif followed by safflower in rabi is profitable under rainfed conditions

Hybrid jowar in kharif followed by safflower in rabi is profitable under rainfed conditions

Current Research 9(1): 5-6

The yields under rain-fed conditions were 4.21 t grain/ha in hybrid sorghum grown in the kharif season and 0.47 t seeds/ha in the following crop of safflower grown in the rabi season, compared with 1.22 t seeds/ha in safflower when grown after fallow in the kharif season; net profit was higher in the sorghum/safflower sequence.
