Immunity to salmonellosis in pigeons: resistance to experimental infection six months after a single vaccination with an inactivated Salmonella typhimurium var. copenhagen oil-adjuvant vaccine

Immunity to salmonellosis in pigeons: resistance to experimental infection six months after a single vaccination with an inactivated Salmonella typhimurium var. copenhagen oil-adjuvant vaccine

Vlaams Diergeneeskundig Tijdschrift 51(4): 281-289

The immunogenicity of a vaccine originally introduced by Devos et al. in 1965 was verified by oral challenge infection six months after vaccination. The rate of faecal excretion of salmonella was less in vaccinated than in unvaccinated pigeons.
