Study was of poultry meat production in Yugoslavia and in the world in 1963-77, compared with earlier periods and with other animal products in the same period. Production of poultry meat had increased with time and more than that of other animal products and poultry meat had increased in importance in production, consumption, turnover and nutrition of the population. That had happened in developed and underdeveloped countries and in Yugoslavia.
