Three groups totalling 90 anoestrous Brangus and Charolais cows were given resp: (1) 2 doses, each of 50 mg progesterone, with an interval of 48 h between injections, plus 1000 IU HCG 72 h later, (2) a single injection of 4 mg oestradiol cypionate, or (3) no treatment (controls).
