Latent phosphorus deficiency in the nutrition of growing ruminants. 12. Effect of phosphorus and vitamin D on growth and health of young cattle

Tierernahrung und Futterung (10): 23-31

12. From 7 to 18 months old, 24 female German Black Pied cattle had a local conventional basal feed of dried lucerne, pea meal, wheat straw and dried beet slices, with minerals and vitamins in proportion to the intake of beet slices, or the same amount with 2500 IU vitamin D daily as yeast exposed to ultraviolet rays or with both vitamin D and phosphorus as NaH2PO4.H2O, or the same feed, but including more beet, also vitamin D and P.
