Low input variety BIET1107 for rainfed lowland areas of Bihar, India

This rice variety, derived from the cross Jaya X Mahsuri, has intermediate height (135 cm) and good tillering ability. Its resistance to Xanthomonas oryzae is moderate, but better than that of Mahsuri. The grains are medium slender with quality comparable to Mahsuri.
