Micromorphology of a yellow-grey earth to yellow-brown earth soil sequence on loess in Canterbury, Otago and Southland, New Zealand

Micromorphology of a yellow-grey earth to yellow-brown earth soil sequence on loess in Canterbury, Otago and Southland, New Zealand

New Zealand Soil Bureau, Scientific Report (45): 44

A sequence of soils developed on loess in Canterbury, Otago and Southland, New Zealand, is examined micromorphologically. It ranges from dry-subhygrous yellow-grey earths and hygrous intergrades between yellow-grey earths and yellow-brown earths to hygrous and hydrous yellow-brown earths (mainly Fragiochrepts and Dystrochrepts).
