Monosomic analysis of the length of the uppermost internode in spring bread wheat

Monosomic analysis of the length of the uppermost internode in spring bread wheat

Nauch tr Sib NIISKh 27: 7-11

A study was made of F1 and F2 hybrids obtained by crossing 21 monosomic lines of Chinese Spring with the Siberian variety Milturum 553, together with the F1 and F2 disomic hybrids (DH) and the initial varieties under field conditions in 1971-72. In 1971, ten of the F2 monosomic hybrids (MH) differed substantially from the F2 DH in length of the uppermost internode, the MH exceeding the DH in only one instance (1B).
