A group of females was mated to the same male in 2 consecutive yr; during the 2nd (experimental) yr, av. daily consumption of dry matter, digestible protein and starch units exceeded that during the 1st (control) yr by 0.5, 0.12 and 0.4 kg resp. (22.7, 109.1 and 80.0%).
