Strawberry runners are difficult to produce in Indonesia. GA was applied at 50, 100 or 150 p.p.m. to plants of the Benggala, aged 1 and 2 months, originating from runners or splits GA treatment did not affect flowering or fruiting but at 100 p.p.m. it stimulated runner production.
