Opinion leaders in Korean rural villages - with special reference to SAEMAUL successful and unsuccessful villages

This empirical research study examines (1) differences between opinion leaders and followers/non-leaders in four sample SAEMAUL successful and unsuccessful villages; (2) differences between opinion leaders in the successful and unsuccessful villages. Results of a survey of 430 farmers indicate that rural village opinion leaders differ from non-leaders in socio-cultural attributed and communication and socio-psychological variables.
