Photosynthesis of lettuce. II. Results with butterhead, cos- and iceberg lettuce cultivars

Photosynthesis of lettuce. II. Results with butterhead, cos- and iceberg lettuce cultivars

Mededelingen Landbouwhogeschool Wageningen (81-13): 19

In six experiments the response of photosynthesis to irradiance of whole shoots was measured in an open system at 22 deg C and 570 mg/m3 CO2. The butterhead cultivars Amanda Plus, Ostinata and Hilde were used in five experiments (numbers 1, 2, 3, 5 and 6). Seven butterhead cultivars were used in a spring experiment (number 3) and five butterhead, two cos and two iceberg cultivars were used in another spring experiment (number 4).
