Prevention of viral diarrhoea in the newborn calf: treatment of young calves with milk from cows vaccinated with an inactivated rotavirus vaccine containing adjuvant

Prevention of viral diarrhoea in the newborn calf: treatment of young calves with milk from cows vaccinated with an inactivated rotavirus vaccine containing adjuvant

Annales de Medecine Veterinaire 126(2): 157-162

Cows on farm A were injected with a formolized calf diarrhoea rotavirus vaccine containing aluminium hydroxide (see VB 52, abst. 3869) one month before and on the day of calving. Their milk was collected from the 3rd to the 24th day of lactation and frozen. On farm B this milk was fed to nine 3-day-old calves for 15 days.
