Problems and experiences in simultaneously controlling grass and broad-leaved weeds in wheat and barley

Problems and experiences in simultaneously controlling grass and broad-leaved weeds in wheat and barley

Proceedings of the Conference on Grass Weeds in Cereals in the United Kingdom, Reading 1981: 329-336

A salt formulation of isoproturon + ioxynil + bromoxynil (Twin-Tak) is currently marketed for the control of a wide range of spring-germinating weeds in wheat and barley. Broad-leaved weeds not adequately controlled by Twin-Tak are Galium aparine, Viola spp. and large Stellaria media. Recent trials showed that Twin-Tak at commercial rates controlled low infestations of Avena fatua in spring cereals on light soils in Scotland and northern England.
