Protection of field-sown outdoor lettuce against top and root aphids with soil applications of granular insecticide products

Protection of field-sown outdoor lettuce against top and root aphids with soil applications of granular insecticide products

Annals of Applied Biology 97(Suppl. Tests of Agrochemicals and Cultivars, 2): 10-11

The effectiveness of soil applications of granules of several insecticides for the protection of field-sown lettuce from attack by top aphids (probably Nasonovia ribisnigri (Mosley) and Macrosiphum euphorbiae (Thos.)) and the root aphid Pemphigus bursarius (L.) was evaluated in field-plot tests in the UK in 1978-79.
