Materials used are the same as for evaporated milks (see preceding abstr.) but with the addition of sugar (A1 quality granular sucrose), lactose seed material and vitamins (usually A and D). Stabilizers are not normally added. Initially dried milk and sugar are mixed with the water at 45-50 deg C, with subsequent addition of fat; the latter is normally held at 40-42 deg C for 24 h before use.
