Requirements and possibility of the long term storage of commercially harvested apples in a controlled atmosphere

Requirements and possibility of the long term storage of commercially harvested apples in a controlled atmosphere

Wissenschaftliche Konferenz der Humboldt Universitat zu Berlin, der Ingenieurhochschule Berlin Wartenberg, der Akademie der Landwissenschaften der DDR, 27-29 October 1981, Berlin Kurzreferate der Symposien: 77

Carbon dioxide and oxygen concentrations in the air are maintained at 4-8% according to the type of fruit stored. The oxygen concentration should be kept at < 5%. The desired air composition can be achieved within 2-3 days.
