2. In 4 trials White Broadbreasted turkeys, previously on starter feed containing 250 g crude protein and energy at 550 or 600 feed units/kg, had from 36 to 112 days 570 or 620 feed units combined with 210 or 230 g crude protein per kg. Increase of feed energy reduced intake of feed during fattening and increased the intake of energy and amount of energy needed for 100 g weight gain.
